Climate Affecting where people live
The climate in Canada differs around the country from the cold, harsh winters of The North- Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, where the temperatures only rise above freezing a few weeks of the year, to the warm, balmy climate of the east and west coasts, to the cold Prairies- Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba, and to the temperate and sunny places near the border of U.S. 8 out of every 10 Canadians live near the border of Canada and U.S. for it's warmth. Very few people choose to live in The North. Others live in the costal areas.
Climate impacting trade
The climate in costal Canada- British Columbia and Nova Scotia enables good fishing so that fish can be one of their top trades. In the southern part of Canada with warm, suitable temperatures allow good farmland with a huge supply of wheat. Quebec has a fairly warm climate that grows trees which is why timber is traded.
